Arctovish: It’s a fossil pokemon! (You know since he’s an archaeologist) + it’s blue

Baltoy: It’s based on a 遮光器土偶 Shakōki-dogū—a "spaceman" clay figurine from the Jōmon period of Japanese history, so an ancient relic! + color scheme reasons

Psyduck: I felt it in my heart. Banditcore pokemon + color scheme reasons. He found it all on its own when he was 10 and since then it’s REFUSED to evolve.

Omanyte: It’s a fossil pokemon! + it’s blue

Rapidash: A reference to her horse in dragon !!(˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ ) I like to imagine her mum gifted it to her while it was still a ponyta!

Kangastan: She’s Australian. Also it has strong motherly urges to protect its children! I think she found it mourning its lost child and felt a sort of kinship (cough cough “the show”)

Combusken: this might be a stretch but she references being a mother hen in “sleepytime”. Also I felt it in my heart

in this bluey au no doomed yuri happened and they moved into a cure little cottage together and they own a quaint little antique shop that simon and betty run together :) also! the lighter dog with red 'hair' is Jasper, and the other is Pheonix! not much lore on them as this was done for funsies! but i will say that Pheonix becomes an author of a bestselling fantasy series and Jasper becomes a full-time artist who sells her paintings in the family antique shop! okay that's all folks take care and have a nice day/night!!!!!

I know Pomeranian is currently winning for Bluey!Envy's dog breed, but I doodled a comparison and Envy just DOES NOT look like herself when her design was translated into a Pom in Bluey artstyle. I'll have to go with the Maltese for this one.

Chilli and Bandit stopped at Bluey and Bingo, two kids was enough, especially for Bandit.

(Mackenzie doesnt have his ref sheet here but i'll have his and Bluey's deal explained later)

Bluebelle is Mackenzie and Bluey's biological daughter (despite taking a bunch of random genetics from Bluey's family)

Mackenzie kinda spend his early adult years being bad at relationships (he was an inexperienced college kid) so he ended up having on off relationships with both Bluey and Coco. Both ended up having pups with Mackenzie by the time they were out of college. Mackenzie was (rightfully) chewed out for this by all three dads involved and both Coco and Bluey. Mackenzie tried to make up for it by being around for both kids, proving himself a good father and maturing to realize yeah...he was a bad dude in college.

Coco and Bluey havent really forgiven Mackenzie but they are friends with him still, he's a cool guy these days. Coco even fell in love with his new self, dating him when their son was about a year and a half old and marrying him when the child turned around six. Bluey chose not to date him, having moved on, but they're still great friends, and she allows Mackenzie to be involved in Bluebelle's life.

Both Coco and Bluey joke about Mackenzie's mistakes occasionally. Mackenzie doesnt mind it, in his eyes, he deserves it.

Bluebelle is just happy at having two moms and two dads.

Bingo and Lila arent in a situation like Bluey was. Bingo and Lila are supportive aunts and Lila loves spending time with Bluebelle, especially as her own pup's birth approaches.

The other heeler brothers and their families will come soon! Coco and Mackenzie's family will show up at some point, dont worry

(I hope Bluey's story isn't too much for anyone reading)
